I like to dress up, but like others have lamented, I don't have many occasions to truly do so. Even my more casual "date night" dress capsule is a bit, well, overstocked because hubs and I usually just go out "as-is" for a casual bite to eat. His wardrobe has become more casual since abandoning corporate America for the ranch, so it's getting to be more effort for him to change out of jeans and tees. I don't mind being *slightly* more dressed up than he is, but I don't want there to be a big disconnect between us when we go out.

That said, at an event or party, I'm usually one of the more dressed-up people in the room. I'm OK with that. I'm extremely uncomfortable if I'm underdressed, but not so much if I'm overdressed.

I'm sad to say I really don't like dressing up. When I was younger I loved to dress up and go dancing. These days though, I don't feel comfortable or authentic when dressing up. I have just become way too casual. I do though wear a lot of sequins and bling in my casual everyday wardrobe.

I love wearing dresses and skirts and even though I am in a very casual work environment, I don't wear jeans that often. When it comes to true dressing up, however, I am not as comfortable. "Dressing up" means wearing heels to me and my feet don't like them. So because of the shoe issue, I think of dressing up as not that fun.

I didn't read through all the responses but the forum seems divided on this one. I get the chance to dress up about once a year if that. We might get invited to a wedding and then I have to decide if I have something to wear or if I need to buy something.
My problem is footwear. I like to dance and Mr. SF likes to dance. My feet are becoming less willing to dance. I sometimes wear fancy shoes and then shoes for dancing.
I have thought about renting a dress. That way my outfit is current and different.

I do like dressing up but I am getting out of practice. Mr. SF looks great in a suit.

I LOVE dressing up but I have very little occasion to. But "dressing" up around where I live means no yoga wear ! LOL
