These came today also. I don't think I'm a good judge of white jeans on myself--because I'm not used to the look. I think the rise might be a tad low, but I could live with that if they look okay.
I like the look of the jeans. I can see where you might think the rise is too low, but as Patience said, it is more of a comfort thing than a looks bad thing. How do they feel when you move around and bend over?
The fit is great on you! I would think hard about the rise issue. If it's just unfamiliar, go for it (since it looks fine), but if it bugs you, I'd pass, since that will likely not subside over time. I have one pair of jeans with a lower rise than my usual generous mid rises, and I am very aware of it every time I wear the jeans and don't like it (I'm constantly tempted to pull them up...)
I know what you mean Antje. I do have other low rise jeans. I wouldn't go so far to say that they feel uncomfortable...but it takes me about 15 minutes to get used to them. These jeans were not expensive--I don't remember how much--but the MSRP tag said $44 and I know they were on sale for less than that. I'm thinking I'll keep them but keep my eyes open for a higher rise pair. I think they will be great to have this summer.
Ana, Yes I did try the AT, ATL, BR, Gap, JC, and a few others. The AT did a weird thing at my knee. It was like they were tight in the thigh (which as I've mentioned before is not something I commonly have a problem with), and then from my knee they just bloomed way out of control. The sizing from the thigh to the knee and below was just too great a difference.
Thanks for the patience. They look fab! Go for it if you can get use to the lower rise. Did you keep the ATL wider legs with the higher rise too? You look extremely good in wider legs. Very hourglass-y and extra long-limbed.
I LOVE this outfit. It’s fresh, unfussy, modern and stylish. You have got it going on.
Thanks Angie. I just cut all the tags off the white Levis and thew them in the wash. I did decide to keep the AT tan pants--per everyone's suggestion. (as well as the blue V neck top that has a bit of sheen to it). I figured everyone can't be wrong. I may just need to get used to the look on me.
