Boots - which ones?

I am still in search of olive shoes but realized the espadrilles were out of the running. Moved on to boots. Neither of these have I found a dependable heel measurement on yet. If either comes in at 3" or lower, I'm in. So, heel height being equal, which would you choose for a casual, slightly rugged boot for my Tahoe fall/winter? Neither one is leather, they are both fabric. I believe the Muk Luks are waterproofed, though.

I think I prefer #1 for the wooden heel as opposed to the rubber heel on #2.

Funny, I already have a rubber heel boot! But it's white so it blends better I think. Good point, though.

I'm getting a little frustrated at the lack of accurate online heel height info. Walking to the post office and paying for return postage are both a bummer. All I need is an accurate measurement, but it's like chasing unicorns lol.

Just kidding! I love the Hans Christian Andersen look of the second pair, but the heel of the first pair is much better. Not helpful, I know.

Thanks, for the input. I will try to get a heel height nailed down, but if not I'll just buy #1 and then return if too high, and then repeat with #2 lol!
Tracina, thanks for the help, but I've found several sites listing both boots at anywhere from 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 and they are definitely talking about the same models. Drives me crazy I can't get a straight answer.

Tracina, I understand! I love to shop online too, but it's these kinds of quirks that make it harder than in store. I start to think maybe some places measure right up against the heel itself (instead of straight down) and so include the angle and that makes extra length. I'd measure straight down from the top of the heel - after all, that's what my foot is going to feel. I don't know how else they can all get such different numbers.

Ok love #1 but really dislike #2 for some reason...? I think it's the texture of the fabric. The first ones are superrrr cool, though. The suede/leather-look contrast, the zipper, the wood heel... I hope they work!

Mo, I like this style of boot in principle, but neither of these are doing it for, so my honest vote would be keep looking. Between the two I prefer the first for the wooden instead of rubber heal. I like one, actually, except for the little pocket.

Scarlet, thanks for the honest opinion! I am still thinking I'll try #1 and hope it's low enough for comfort. Interestingly, the little pocket might be the perfect stash spot for my Fitbit pedometer if I'm wearing a dress or have no pockets (I have been known to clip it to the rim of my black knee high boots before ><)

AARGH! 3 1/2" - too high for running around town in inclement weather
This is progress, though. In the past I would have bought them anyway. I'm trying really hard to put things mentally through their paces in my life. I know this height is only a sitting shoe for me.
