Which boot should I keep?

Instead of searching for a boot to fit my wide calf, I decided to just stick with a short boot.

I bought the black Ugg Endel during NAS. Today I was at Nordies and noticed this Sam Edelman boot, tried it on, seemed comfy... and bought it. I can't keep both though. Which one should I keep?

I'm having a particularly fat day and felt hideous in all the pictures I took so I'm only posting my feet... not sure if that will help.

out of the two I like the black uggs the best. Sorry your having a yuck day will you post outfit pics when back to your pretty little self?

Hmm they are *very* similar but I prefer the Sam Edelmans. I don't like the contrast between the sole and the rest of the boot on the Uggs.

I'm with Tam, i dislike the difference in colour of sole and boot on the uggs. It's such a shame you can't find a pair you love x

Both pairs are cute, and I personally prefer the Uggs. i actually like the contrast.

Hmm... I suspect the Uggs are going to be more practical, if you are in a climate with lots of snow, ice and cold. Are they lined in sheepskin?

I think it's hard to decide between the two because I think they have two distinct fashion personalities. It depends on how you are going to wear them! The Uggs say "practical, sporty and outdoorsy" to me; whereas the Edelman's are more "edgy, fashionable, vintage biker chic."

I like sam edelmans better. But both of these pairs are equally expensive. If you are not in love with them, I'd say keep looking.

I always think a contrasting sole looks more casual, so which one makes the most sense depends on how you plan to wear these. My personal preference is the Sam Edelmans.

I didn't keep the Star Lings. They were too narrow for me. I kept the other NAS ones... the BP Harlow (this one: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....3&P=2)

I guess I just want one more boot to add to the mix because the only other boot I have is for cold weather and it's not that fab.

I'm not really sure if either that I bought are my style but hardly anything I like comes in size 12 and I prefer shoe shopping in store. Should I keep looking? I know you're recommending slouchy boots.

If you don't love them, I'd say keep looking. But if you keep one of these pairs, my vote goes to the Sam Edelmans. It also seems like suede is harder to care for than regular leather that can always be brought back to life with a great polish job.

Both boots look very cute on you but I prefer the Edelmans. I love the color and the studs. I also think the leather will be easier to care for than the suede.
I think both are very casual. Have you thought about the outfits you will pair them with? I like the biker influence of the Edelmans and you seem to have a very feminine style which will be a nice contrast.

Thanks, Marianna! The NAS boots you kept are GREAT.

Between the two you have now, I have a slight preference for the Sam Edelman’s, but the Uggs are probably more weather resistant. They both look fantastic though, Marianna! I think you’re just not used to the look yet. Are they equally comfy? Return one pair, and keep the other. AND, keep on looking.

I actually returned the Sam Edelmans today... my foot kept slipping up when I walked and I feared that I would get really bad blisters on my heels. The Uggs will be obviously comfortable. I also think the Sam Edelman's weren't really my style... something about them didn't sit right with me. Too western? I'm not in love with the Uggs either so I'll keep my eye out for something better.

I'm thinking about these but not quite sure about them either. There's only one size 12 (wide!) left but I'm hesitant...

Marianna, if you do want to take a crack at knee-high boots, I highly recommend http://www.widewidths.com. Pretty much every boot they have comes in a size 12W, often a 12WW. Calf sizes cover a wide spectrum, too. The selection is surprisingly good and their customer service was top knotch the one time I purchased from there. They're even YLF approved (Angie has a post about them somewhere).
