Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

When to stop wearing knee high boots?

Hello! I've been reading for a while now but never posted. Love the blog and forums Angie! I'm just now getting into fashion and this is a valuable tool for me. :)

Anyway, my questions is this: When do you stop wearing knee high boots? Is it appropriate to wear tall boots into spring? I just don't know. I love wearing mine with dresses and skirts but I don't want to look silly if I wear them out of season.

Thanks in advance!

So glad to hear that you're participating and enjoying our site Maggie!

There is no definitive answer to this question. It really depends on the weather in your area and the mood of the boots. I am still wearing my knee high boots because its’ in the 40’s and 50’s here in Seattle. Black boots look particularly Wintery and I’ll stop wearing those soon during the day. But I’ll continue wearing my cream and light coloured boots for a good while longer along with Spring coats, long sleeved dresses and bold jackets. Our Springs are cold and you won’t look odd if you add Spring touches to your ensemble with your knee high boots. Hope that helps.
