Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

What to wear: Boating on Lake Michigan

We have been invited to go out on a friend's boat tomorrow night. Soooooo excited! The weather is supposed to be in the low-to-mid 70s tomorrow, and it's always cooler on the lake.

What to wear? I was thinking about fashion sneakers, bootcut jeans, and I have a navy blue zip jacket from M & O:

What should I wear on top? Cami and cardigan? Hoodie? Opinions, please :)

I love that jacket!!! Stripes would be nice but if you do not have that I would probably just layer like you are planning on doing. White would also be great on you under that blue jacket. I am always cold on boats, I bring extra sweaters and shoes that do not slip.
Have fun!!

Oh, stripes! Of course. I do have a navy and white striped long-sleeved tee. Hmmm.

Jeans *and* a coat I think will be too much. I would go with clams or rolled jeans, the cute blue jacket, fashion sneakers (rubber soles are key), and any pretty cotton top. Stripes might be a bit too on-point, if you know what I mean. But something you will want to see in pictures against the sunset, because you do NOT want to forget your camera!

That's about what I will be wearing when we go charter fishing on Labor Day weekend. Plus, I used to boat for years out East. :)

Oh boy. The weather report now calls for temps not even reaching 70, and rain off and on :( I hope we will still see the sunset!

Well, worst comes to worst, we will eat dinner on the boat in the harbor. I am going to wear the jeans and bring a tote with the jacket inside, in case we do go out on the water.

Oh yeah, if it's that cold and possibly rainy, bring layers!
