Here are my pics from my recent jcrew order. Please tell me what you think.

1. I'm not as excited about this top on me. But I'll keep an open mind till all of you weigh in.
2. My second pair of clamdiggers at full length.

1. This shirt is actually from Nordstrom. I thought it might be a good skirt shirt but I'm not super excited about it either.
2. Do you think the necklace is too gaudy/fancy for regular wear. I love the color but I'm not sure about the sparklies.
3. Clamdiggers about 1 1/2 inches shorter.

My main questions are

2. How long should I do the clamdiggers this time?

I think this may be the end of my summer shopping as well. I have plenty to wear and I'm starting to get overwhelmed.

Coral blouse: I can't put my finger on it, but it looks like the blouse sort of overwhelms you. It might be that it seems a bit long or something. Have you tried it with full length skinnies and heels yet? I'd be interested to see what that looks like. It might balance it out better--does this make sense? Love the color on you, though.

The longer clamdiggers: I think this length is okay for you. I like them better with the white blouse from Nordstrom (which I like on you) than the coral blouse. The only thing I would say is maybe hem an inch off, that's it. And the longer length would probably look better with a heel. You wear both the shorter clamdigger length and a longer one nicely.

The glass bead and fireball necklace: This necklace is fun! I would wear it with more casual things to dress them up. I think the white blouse is the wrong neckline for it--maybe try it with a crew or scoop neckline instead.

The clover jackie shell: I like this. It looks very much like your style and the color is good on you. Paired with the pencil skirt, it does emphasize your "rectangleness," however. Have you tried it with an A-line skirt? I think this will give you a more balanced look. Try the coral blouse with the denim pencil skirt and a belt instead--that might look sharp.

Here are my two cents:

Coral blouse- I agree that it's a bit overwhelming. I' d try it as Ana suggested and also with wide belt or cropped cardigan over.

Clamdiggers- I like the length in the second photo the best.

Nordstrom shirt- I love it and think it would make great ( and very verstaile) skirt top!

Necklace- very funky, I like it a lot! I would make it a focal piece in a very simple but excellently fitting outfit, such as white button-down. dark wash jeans and heels.

Green shell - I like it on you. I actually like that whole outfit, particularly with pink flats!

So I'd keep everything other than the coral blouse that I'm not decided on. I'd try to wear in different ways first before the final decission.

coral top - I'm leaning towards sending it back. I tried it with a belt and it kind of skirts out.

Necklace - I agree with you about keeping everything else simple and wouldn't actually wear it with this top. I was just trying to minimize the number of photos I took.

Green shell - this is my style yet I feel like I just got it as a useful skirt shirt and I don't *love* it. Then again it is plain enough that maybe it's not meant to be loved. I do have an a-line denim skirt-- the Boden one with buttons that Inge is considering. I think you're right that the green shell would look great with it. But after wearing the skirt a few times I realize that while I think it looks great with the right top in the mirror, I don't feel that fab in it. I don't know what's wrong. I'm a very moody dresser.

I think the blouse does look kind of tenty, and I don't think it's the length... I think it would look a lot better if it were fitted. The color looks great on you.

I like all the other items. The necklace is great, it just doesn't quite work with the white shirt neckline. I do like the white shirt a lot, do you happen to have a link to it?

Can't help with the clamdiggers length - I just don't have an eye for it, sorry!

I love the coral blouse but it seemed too big on you. Can you go a size smaller?

It's hard to tell from the photo, but there are two layers at the bust. They have more colors now than when I bought it.

I agree the coral blouse would look better fitted. I think it would be too tight across the bust if I went any smaller. My husband's reaction was that it made me look pregnant.

I love the colour of the J. Crew blouse on you, gorgeous, but it would be better if it was a little more fitted.
You look fantastic in those clamdiggers (I like the longer and shorter length).

I would definitely keep the white and the green top (another beautiful colour on you), they suit you both.

I actually ordered the buttoned A-line denim skirt from Boden together with the floral skirt Patience, but I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Now that I've read your comments about it, I'm even more curious. It's true that sometimes you just can't say exactly why you don't love something, even though there's nothing obviously wrong with it.

The only thing I didn't like is the coral shell. You're just swimming in it.

Clamdiggers: I like them at both lengths, but I think the longer length hits you at a better place on the leg.

Necklace: I don't think it's too gaudy. I personally like a contrast of very dressy items worn in a very casual way. It's fun.

I agree with what everyone says...except for one thing. I'm not feeling the green sleeveless top. It reminds me of a muscle shirt (Anyone else remember those from the 80's?) I love the color, and perhaps as a layering piece, it would be fine. But just the way it is, looks..well masculine to me.

I love the clamdiggers, the skirt and the necklace. I agree w/everyone else about the coral top. Not only is it too tenty in the abdomen, but the ruffles around the arms just don't flatter you--like they are extending too far out over your shoulder line.

Inge, I bought the skirt because I thought it was really cute. I think it's the buttons that make me feel less sophisticated when I wear the skirt. It might also be a tad big but I didn't want it to be too tight or else it might pull at the button closure. But I'm still wearing it for casual occasions. I will try to remember to take a picture next time I wear it.

I'm not seeing a problem with the coral top. It looks great on you! It is my favorite. Everything looks great except the first pair of pants. I do think they are a little too long. I love that skirt on you a lot.

Hmmmm. The coral top is just not voluminous enough to be funky. Almost though. Investigate that look at some point. You can pull it off. Beautiful colour on you.

I REALLY like you in white. One of your best colours so far. Everything else is super Patience! You look great! Gorgeous necklace.

Patience, I believe you mentioned somewhere a while back that you like to tuck things in...what does that do for the coral blouse. If it doesn't work then I'd send it back.

I like your clamdiggers the length they are in the second picture best. And that necklace is very nice too!

I'm kind of with Nicole that the green shirt doesn't really wow me, but you mentioned that too, so if it fits the bill for what you're trying to accomplish, then keep it. I would definitely add a necklace or scarf. Just my 2 cents...

Hi Dani-Saw in your pictures that you are wearing some Born metallic wedges I am thinking of ordering. Have you been happy with them and are they comfortable even after a few hrs. of wear?

The coral top is going back. Angie, I have been trying voluminous tops, but I just don't have the eye for finding the right silhouette. I will keep trying. About white-- yes I love white for summer. I think I mentioned in a another post I wouldn't mind wearing a white top and clamdiggers the rest of the summer, just changing shoes and handbag for color and funk.

Nancy, are you talking about my floris sandals? I do like them and they are quite comfy.

Nicole, I think I agree with you about the green top. I'm still deciding about this one.

I love that idea! You wear white SO well. It's a signature colour. Try a woven voluminous top with a V-neck and a longer sleeve instead of sleeveless. Nice and airy for Austin.

Angie, I have been keeping my eye out for just this thing. What I've found so far are not quite there-- sleeveless and tiny sleeves but they are a bit voluminous and woven.
