What time does your mall open?

I was so excited to have my 40% coupon this morning that I raced over to the mall apparently a bit early. It was 9:50 and all the stores were still closed,so I moseyed into Macy's for a little bit, but when I tried the rest of the mall again after 10, the stores were all still closed. I asked a security guy what time the stores opened and he said 10:30. Are you freaking kidding me? :-O

This seems so late to me... is this typical?

That's an odd time to open. My local malls all open at 10, but open at 11 on Sundays.

The malls around here all open at 10 am if its not around the Christmas season (then its 8 am, usually) Some, but not all stores dont open till 11 am on Sundays ....at least you got first chance at the merchandise! Did you get anything?

10-9 Mon-Sat, and 12-6 Sun for the two main ones. The fancy mall is Mon-Wed: 10am-7pm. Thur-Sat: 10am-8pm. Sun: 11am-6pm. (The fancy mall has Anthro, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Clarks, JCrew, JJill (and others) which are not at the regular malls.)

So yeah, 10:30 is a weird time.

Downtown Seattle mall 10am Mon-Sat, 11 am Sundays.
Fancy mall in Bellevue (suburb of Seattle) 9:30am Mon-Sat, 11am Sunday.

Well, the *mall* opens at 9 for people to walk but the stores don't open until 10. I don't think they're any later than that even on Sundays, but they close early then. (I think 10 is late, honestly, I drop DD off at preschool at 9 and pick her up 2 1/2 hours later - not enough time to be worth it to drive all the way home and back, so I hang around town, but I'm stuck with Target, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's for the first hour (and the last two are probably the worst on my wallet).
