It is morning now and we were able to sleep. It still seems so bizarre to wake up to. And I'll need to find a new socket to put the kettle in for my morning tea though the microwave is working. Moving the coffee maker might be more of a challenge.
Rachylou the house is only about 30 years old. We had insulation put in last summer and I wonder if that was a factor (more load) Lots of it fell out and is currently stacked on our dining table.
Lyn - it is rainy here, but the roof (cf ceiling) is ok so no leaks.
It is a long weekend here (much awaited by me!) but I'll have to revise my plans somewhat!
In terms of what happened, it sounded like someone was walking on the roof, and then it just started to fall through.
DH worked like a trojan last night, carry out all the ceiling bits and stacking insulation. Still lots of dust to clear up (I woke to DD8 sweeping, very sweet)
