What is your daily "go to" bag?

Hey Everyone,

Sorry, that I have not been around lately, I've been really busy. Not that I think any of you really noticed, but that is okay.

Anyway, I was lugging my stuff around for classes the other day, and my back and knee where killing me, when I realized I needed a better solution than just my large tote.

So, I searched, and searched online, and finally found the perfect rolling briefcase/tote. It is elegant, feminine, and fun - all in one.

Let me know what you think of it.

Tomorrow, is my first full day with it - taking all of my books, folders, papers, lunch, and not carrying a purse just putting my essentials in a clutch and tossing the clutch in my bag. However, once my computer is updated, I will also be taking that with me on a daily basis, but not tomorrow.

So, what is your daily "go to" bag? What do you put in it? Do you carry a purse too, or just the bag? Let me know what you do.

Your bag is cute!

I usually carry a medium-to-large sized purse (which I alternate from about a half-dozen regular bags), and in the winter a tote to transport my shoes and lunch. I am looking for a nice tote for this winter.

When I have to bring my computer along for meetings, I either use a wheelie bag made by Swiss Army (the knife makers) that I got at Best Buy, or from that bag I pull out the padded insert bag to carry just the computer.

I like your bag Kathleen - great print!! And saving your back is a really good idea!!!

I carry a large bag with me to work (same one everyday). I got it from Forever 21 earlier this year. It fits a folder, wallet, water, lunch, a few small books, stethoscope etc in it. During the day I also wear one of these that carries phone, notebook and little medical bits and pieces like a torniquet (it can be so frustrating to find one on different wards), alcohol swabs etc...not too exciting but it works!

I have a few -
2 large black leather handbags that can be totes (but not for laptop) from Charles David and Ann Taylor Loft. One looks like oversized medical bag.

Square yellow leather laptop/briefcase from Liz Claiborne via Marshalls

Bronze laptop/sleek briefcase from Hobo

Canvs tote from Banana Republic - I use for airplanes and gym mostly though.

I have two that I keep wearing all the time, both are patent totes, one is cream and the other one red.

I change my bag almost daily...most are oversized (although I have clutches for dressy events)
The most used ones...my go-to bags, are white , black and red:)

I always like to carry around the absolute minimum amount necessary. I loathe being weighed down and wrestling with a large bag. During school, I wore my black patent Matt & Nat tote every day, but since then I haven't worn it even once because it's so big.

So not having a regular schedule makes it vary a lot for me. For running errands and quick and simple outings like getting coffee, I wear my Kate Spade Pia bag. It's TINY. I can barely fit my phone, wallet, and lip balm, and that works just fine for me.

For trips to the city, I like my white crossbody bag because I prefer to have my hands free. Bags tend to slip off my shoulders so it's nice not to have to deal with that when I'm moving around a lot.

If I were working, it would be a tossup between my white cross body and chestnut satchel.

Then I have a lot of "novelty" bags like my Marimekko poppies bag and the houndstooth kisslock purse I got in Boston. Those are a good way to make an outfit that is just "missing something" a bit more fun.

I don't own a single clutch or evening bag. So far I haven't really needed one, but I'm all over this when the time comes:

If I'm carrying my laptop, I use one of my two Jack George's bags, one in blue and one in red. If not, I use anywhere between a small and medium sized purse and try to have as little as possible to carry since my shoulders get easily sore.
