After you all helped me decide what to do about the dress I initially bought to wear to a friend's wedding (the verdict: too casual, so I wore it to my sister's bridal shower instead) I thought I ought to post a photo of what I ended up wearing:

And a close-up- basically there is a black mesh laid over the leopard print, and then some more mesh is attached to the lining to make the skirt "poof". Sorry for the squinting (I was facing the sun!). You can see just a peek of the black chandelier earrings I wore- went with subtle accessories since the dress is kind of bold:

I also had a little black beaded bracelet that picked up on the beading in the bag, and those are the black wedges I've posted a photo of before. The cropped cardigan was for the church ceremony, to be a bit demure. The dress was strapless until I had the tailor add straps on (I hate strapless!).
The bride looked beautiful and her bridesmaids wore adorable black A-lines with bright blue sashes and matching mesh popping out under the hem- very sassy. Now on to the next wedding... my sister's! I'm a bridesmaid for that one so no sorting out an outfit for it.
