I saw a necklace like this in a local boutique and although I loved it, I didn't
Want to pay $400 for it. So I made my own suede tassel and strung some lovely pearls and beads to make my own version. I only looked at the one at the store once so I am telling myself I used it for inspiration and I am not plagiarizing someone else's art.

Traveling today so I'm wearing my new Sam Edelman Pettys. And also a new Sam & Greta fleece jacket. This is a Johnny was brand and I am very smitten. I bought tis jacket for travel and I'm on a plane right now. It is so soft and warm and can be a jacket or a blanket! Ha

Would love your input on how I can make this outfit better as I will be traveling a lot in the next few months and would love to come up with a look that I'm comfortable with. I really need to find a cognac belt because I'm liking this color shoe with a neutral palette. Do y'all agree?

I'm traveling to the UP of Michigan so I'll be waving to all of you Canadians from just across the border this weekend.

No tips I'm afraid. Sorry. I do love the booties and cool necklace. I'm curled up half sick on the couch so your cardi/sweater looks so cozy and yummy to me right now!!!

Beautiful necklace! and I like the whole outfit. The jacket looks so cozy--perfect for travel. The light tones are all nice together, and I agree with you the cognac booties are great, so a similar-toned belt will be good to have. I also agree with the others that the tassel on the necklace falls too low; I do like the extra-long tassel idea, though. So maybe shortening from the top end will work?

Great cozy tonal outfit. I can't see the booties very well. Agreeing with those that the necklace fringe falls at an unfortunate place and hoping that you can shorten it from the top. How does it look if you wind it around twice to shorten so that you can still wear it on this trip without embarrassment?

Thanks for pointing the awkward length out! I was so enamored with my necklace I didn't notice. It is meant to have a bigger scale but I also made it adjustable. And I can knot it. I appreciate y'all letting me know.

I'm so glad I brought this jacket. It's 40 degrees here tonight and it was in the 80's when I left my house this morning.

Love the cozy, creamy layers. Well done! Cognac makes for a great companion, too! I like the idea of shortening the necklace -- which is a great statement necklace.

What a cool necklace! I agree that shortening it from the top would make it just right.

Love the mix of whites and cognac you put together. Your jacket looks incredibly soft and snuggly, like a stuffed animal you can wear. I'll bet people want to touch it when you wear it.
