AT, your comment brought back the memory of why I stopped shopping NAS. I'd been on the forum for a year when I got caught up in the excitement and sent in an order, despite the different in exchange rates and my knowing I'd be paying dearly for shipping and duty costs.
I had ordered the same fine-knit sweater in two different colors in exactly the same size. One sweater fit perfectly, while the second was so stretched out it was ludicrous. It was obvious a woman with an extremely large bust had worn the sweater for quite a period of time before deciding to return it. Return shipping was almost $60, so I decided to keep the sweater to see if washing and blocking would return it to a semblance of its former self. To my dismay, that sweater never returned to its former size. And, as if the sweater saga wasn't enough, the skirt I had ordered had a defective zipper because of the yanking someone had done to try to do it up. Moral of the story--Nordstroms' generous return policy has a dark side for anyone who doesn't have the luxury of free return shipping.
For what it's worth, my experience made me appreciate the stricter return policies in Canada, with their time limits and "must have tags and be in like new condition" policies. If I want to buy shoes with scuffed soles and stretched out sweaters, I can get them much cheaper at consignment or thrift stores.
