I like the style and I can see it on you and I can also see it looking pretty fab, but I have to say that I kind of agree with nicoleb - the style isn't as edgy or fab as you are!
Meanwhile, this style looks a bit similar to your current hairstyle, and although the bangs are different in that they are extended a bit, and the colour's different - it's not a huge change. I don't know what your natural hair texture is like - but somehow I keep picturing a very straight, sharply cut bob with bangs on you.
Something a little bit like this picture as shown in #1? Maybe not as many layers at the bottom, but I can see this kind of style looking amazing on you.
But then again, is your hair naturally a bit curly or wavy? Perhaps the photo I've suggested isn't ideal. Meanwhile, if you were going to go to the trouble of straightening bangs, then it wouldn't be that much work to do the rest. Speaking of which, the last time I got my hair cut, the stylist used a straightener on my hair, even though my hair is straight to begin with - I liked the effect so much that I asked about what kind of hair straightening appliance she used - turns out the brand was GHD - and they didn't have any for sale at the salon (sold out). I went looking and the straightening iron normally sells for a least a couple of hundred dollars, but lo and behold, I found in on Costco dot com for a really good price:

I haven't ordered it yet myself, still considering, but I was kind of impressed that I could get it from Costco's site for significantly less than the normal retail price of around $185.
Ahem...back to hair styles.
What do you think of a straighter, blunt bangs cut like the picture? Just for something new-ish, without having to go super short?
