I found these sandals today and wanted to get feedback as they are not my usual style.

What do you think of the strap around the ankle...does it work on me?

I'm gonna be the odd guy out here, and give a slightly differing opinion. No shooting please. *winces*

I think that the style of the sandals is fine on you, they fit, and they look comfortable. However, I'm not loving the color of the sandals with this particular outfit. To my eye, they seem dark (chocolate brown?), and thus visually "heavy" with the pretty dress (navy print?), belt (silver?), and white watch that you are wearing. Maybe it's because the vamp and the heel are both dark, as opposed to a cork, rope, raffia, or lighter stacked wooden heel.

I would prefer a pewter or bright-colored sandal (pink? orange? green? yellow?) with this ensemble. Oh...and don't forget to get/give yourself a pedicure and pick a fabulous summer color for your toes.
