Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

What do you think of grey for a winter coat?

Or should I look for a more vibrant color? I already have a red winter coat and I usually like to keep a couple of options for coats. I had an aubergine coat that I loved but I shrunk out of it so I'm looking to replace that one. I love the style of the grey coat I found but I'm wondering if I'm settling on the color.

As a false plain - perfect. As a plain wool option – debatable. Will chime in again about this later.

It's a plain wool option...I'll try to post a picture if I get a free minute today.

I like the sound of it but want to see pictures! I think it might be nice bc you could wear it with so many different colors of scarves, gloves and hats...do post a picture if you can! I've not seen many grey coats out there so this sounds interesting.

I have a grey wool coat that's been hanging in my closet for years without wear (it used to be too big, now it fits again, sigh.) I tried it on a few days ago and while I like the style, I think the color was throwing me off. I can't explain it but something was off. I'd love to hear Angie's further input on this too.

Me three. Angie previously gave me approval for a charcoal grey winter coat (the search is on), but with a stipulation that the piece have some texture. I think that's where she's heading now too, Dani.
