What colour tights goes with this dress?

I just got this red tea and tree dress and I have my heart set on wearing it soon. It looks catchy and comfy! These Ugg arroyo weave clog boots are a favourite of mine as they are comfortable even though they have a high heel on them. The block heel, cushy lining and the fact I can slip in a pair of thick padded socks make them my most comfy pair of heels so far.

I am set on wearing those two things but what colour tights goes best with that combination? I have light skin so I don't mind a bit of colour on my legs. I was thinking of perhaps suntan? White? Bronze? Midnight black? Another colour?

Love the boots and the dress....
I would probably go without tights and just wear hidden socks. Then if it gets too cold I would tie the tights in with a coat, maybe black, maybe olive green. Or alternatively just natural coloured tights that are barely there.

Very cute dress! I'd either skip the tights or go with the shade that matches your natural color best.

I'd also go with sheer nylons that are your nude. I have a poison eye for white and black seems too dark and heavy. Opaque tights seem too wintery for the dress.

Chambray blue might be interesting especially if you add a jean jacket or vest over the dress.

Another vote for nude, either sheer or textured. You could also swing black or navy if you popped a dark topper on.

For warmer months, I would go bare legged.

Tall boots like that would let you do a micro fishnet into cooler weather.

Nude to you tights would rock in the colder months.

How about the old standby micro fishnets in nude. They might look good with the texture of the boots and help transition the boots with the dress.

@kiwigal - The weather isn't cold yet, here in northwest Germany but I also like your cold weather idea. I like your suggestion of trying it with bare legs and hidden socks. Since the boots have heels, I was wearing it with a pair of long thick socks for padding, that peak out over the top of my boots. I will try this with a pair of hidden socks. Thanks for your ideas!

@k - Thank you! I take it that you are also like me in that you also love these bold colour dresses for the summer as they seem like so much fun!

@Jennifer - I like your idea of matching the colour of the tights with the colour of a jacket, if I add one! I had initially toyed with matching my tights with my handbag bag but when I put down my handbag, it won't match anymore. LOL

@Aida - Sheer or textured does sound good. I love how many fun styles of textured tights have entered the market these past few years

@Thistle - Good to know that the bare legged look would work as well ..... when wearing dresses with boots, I always wondered if bare legs work or if I need tights to complete the look. I was never really 100% certain .....

@San - Microfishnets, yes!!! This suggestion by you and Thistle sounds like a fun idea that would help rock this outfit. Thank you!

@Joy - If you also think microfishnets work, I'm definitely giving that a try. I know when it is cooler, I can do microfishnets overtop of sheer tights but for the summer, I can just do the microfishnets

I like the suggestions for when it is warm enough to bare legs. If I had this dress, I would see how it looks with some of my gray tights.

Bare legs...then black tights...I would select a completer piece for the dress in colder weather the same color as the tights...For example, a black cardi with black tights, black blazer, black tights..good luck
