Just wondering what you plan on wearing for Christmas Day?

It is Summer in my part of the world, so a simple sheath dress, ballet flats and a pendant is a possibility for me.

Likely my red satin tunic tank. It's still kinda summer here in FL (in the 70's). Either with black skinny jeans or tucked into a black chiffon skirt, maybe my tux jacket depending on weather.

Probably pajamas. It's just my husband, me and the dogs this year, so we're going to enjoy a completely kicked-back day at home, watching movies, snacking and relaxing.

Or maybe in light of Angie's recent blog post on fashonable lounge wear, I'll get myself a cute comfy lounging outfit for the occasion.

I'm on call for Christmas. So it will be jeans and a sweater. I change into hospital issued scrubs at the hospital if I get called in.

I hadn't thought about it, but I'm feeling inspired by Mo's outfit. We do our big celebration on the night before, so I'm thinking black skinnies, cropped teal velvet jacket and longer purple satin blouse? Oh, and I'm thinking black patent stilettos or my favorite Dries van Noten satin and sequin pumps

Hmmm...

For Christmas day it'll be one of my sweatshirt dresses and leggings.

I'll be playing at an 8am service fresh off a Midnight Mass, so I'll be going for ease and comfort. (Maybe warmth won't be as necessary with the church packed.) Black slacks, black booties, and a cute cardigan that is black with dark red polka dots. Black pashmina worn as scarf. It's a lot of black but when I'm sleep-deprived and in a rush I feel most comfortable with very simple outfits.

Hi Trudy, a fellow Aussie here:). This will be my first Christmas at home for many years and it's a very casual affair so I am thinking skinnies and and a cool, draped top, or if it's hot something similar to what you are proposing

Wow, when I started the thread I had no idea that it would highlight all the varied things that people do on Christmas Eve/Day.
Annagybe I hope that there is no need to call you in Christmas day. Thank you for reminding me about everyone that works on this day. I hope you and any others YLF members who provide essential community services have a joyous and peaceful season.
Deborah, I'm hoping it doesn't get too hot, the start to December has been unusually cool and delightful.
Mo, I like the tunic idea. Mine is golden beige. I might have to reassess the merits of accessorising that top!

It will be cold here. It depends on when we go to Mass (when everyone is dressed up). If we go Christmas eve, I'll wear a cozy long red cotton sweater sprinkled with red sequins for Christmas day with black BR Martin skinnies. I'm also thinking of trying a sequined top with a red flannel plaid jacket, something like Angie's blog post, but need to take photos of this combo to see if I'm way off base with this.

Oi...I don't know. I've been eyeing my closet for about a week now trying to figure it out. We always go to my boyfriend's aunt's house for a big traditional German get-together Christmas night, and I have no idea what to wear yet. It's not really formal dress but it's not exactly casual, either. Kind of a modernized "Sunday best" feel is the best way I can describe it.

I've got to figure it out soon!

I still don't know all the details of our plans, but I'm planning to be casual yet festive and work in my red utility jacket, a greeen plaid shirt, and either my long cranberry sweater dress or my bright red crewneck sweater. Not all at once; these are all possibilities depending on what we do.

On Christmas eve I'll wear my Butterfly Midi for Mass and a party afterwards. On Christmas morning I'll wear my J Crew Pixie pants with a tunic style dress on and my cute apron for running around the kitchen. We dress up, but I have to stay comfy since I'm hosting and we've got 7 little kids with all of mine and their cousins. I'm looking forward to it!

A denim skirt or a sweater dress. Not sure which yet. Family gatherings are very casual (jeans, sweaters, etc.), but I like to dress it up a little.

At Christmas day I do the cooking so def. flats or my boots with tights a skirt and blouse, We go to Mass on Christmas Eve so I have red sheath dress I am looking forward to wearing!

Our family will be attending church services on Christmas morning, so I will be wearing a simple red knit dress with 3/4 sleeves and fun collar details. After church, I plan on changing into jeans and a simple top for an afternoon of food, family, and fun. I can't wait to see what others will be wearing.

I haven't decided between my denim jeggings/red express blouse/black tuxedo jacket and touch of bling or my new purple dress made into some sort of smart casual yet festive ensemble. Christmas day will be spent at my sister's house with the whole family. I don't need to worry about crawling around on the floor as I don't have little kids, and I've earned enough age points to kick the teenagers off the couch if I need a place to sit...LOL.

I should really find a way to wear my new satin blazer that has been languishing in the closet ever since I bought it! Although I don't know if we are actually doing anything special except maybe going to a freezing old church, in which I will not want to take my coat off. And then we are hopefully doing exciting things like pouring self-leveling compound on the kitchen floor.

Maybe I should get a santa hat to go with my work gloves...
