Hi ladies. I am new to using social media for my fashion and style ideas. My new job also demands I dress a bit more formal than I used to. So I will rely on your tastes and eyes for style. I look forward to all of this and bare with me if my questions and lists seem newbeesque.
My current wardrobe consists of lots of jeans, pants, sweaters, cardiagans and many many button downs. This was the staple of my old job where I was often in the field and on factory floors.

Hi! I only just created a membership, but have been referring to this blog and forum for many years to sculpt my style persona. I live in rural Canada, and struggle sometimes to adapt fashion trends for a) my lifestyle, and b) shopping availability in our fairly remote province. I am travelling to NYC in three weeks and am really looking forward to shopping at all the cool stores that are mentioned so often in the blog. I like to think my style is refined, cozy nautical (although those things may be contradictory!). I have recently been going through a major closet purge, as all my items were awesome individually but I could not create many outfits. I feel much happier lately with my closet, and have received much guidance on this matter from searching the forums and blogs.

I had seen a Youlookfab post a year or so ago when Maria Killam discussed it on her website. But it wasn't until several months ago that I started really reading through this site and the archives. Like Current, I recently had a baby and I'm now trying to figure out in wat direction I need to be heading with my wardrobe.

Oh, and mbchatt, body con means body conscious. Maybe body con fit means fit enough to look good in a body con outfit?

So excited to get involved in this fashion community. I feel like I really need a jump start on fashion this spring. I'm looking for insight on how to make current trends wearable and of course, part of my style instead of being a fashion victim.
