wedding weekend - follow up - YouLookFab Forum

Last week I asked for your help on dress for a wedding I was attending in CT. Here's the follow-up. The wedding was in Mystic, a lovely vacation spot. It was so much fun. Here are my outfits for the weekend.

Travel outfit - You can't see it too well but I had a silver and white striped tank under the jacket. It's one of those headless pictures that makes one look out of proportion. Sorry. http://i508.photobucket.com/al.....1920-1.jpg

Hanging out around town - Seersucker shorts are very eastern seaboard I came to find out. I love seersucker and madras, etc. I may have been born on the wrong coast. I had on silver flat sandals. Wedding - I did have a wrap, which you can see in the background. I wanted to put it on for the picture but it would have been kind of strange at that time to do so. As it was, I was whispering to my husband, "Take a picture of my outfit for the ladies. Make sure to get the shoes." Ha ha! http://i508.photobucket.com/al.....1976-1.jpg

The wedding itself was beautiful. I was thrilled to be there. And I felt great in the dress. Thank you for the help!

Hi Alecia,
What lovely pictures! I particularly liked the prewedding brunch one. On the body type question, I would reckon you an hourglass too. But there are others here better able to answer you. Glad you had a good time.

Alecia, you looked very nice all weekend. Glad you had a nice time. The location was gorgeous! My favorites were the rehearsal dinner and the actual wedding outfit. LOL about telling your husband to get your shoes in the shot too!

I'm not sure about your body type from your picture, because your legs are kind of split the way you're standing, so you don't get the full perspective of your hips to shoulders. You might want to post another picture and start a new thread for that one. Maybe others can tell more.

Alecia, great outfits, you looked great the whole weekend. I really like the rehearsal and as brunch outfits, as well as the weekend one. As for the body type, probably a hourglass, but I'd need a more clear photo to say for sure.

Beautiful! I love the prewedding brunch outfit - where did you get the top, if I may ask? And the wedding dress - perfect. I also really like the double strand pearl necklace.

I have seersucker shorts too but they sure look better on you than on me! I would've never thought to pair them with orange (so far I've stuck with white and navy and turquoise - boring), so that is an inspiration. I can sometimes get away with orange, depending on the shade, and what color my hair du jour. (My natural haircolor, without highlights, actually has a lot of red/auburn undertones).

And my DH wore seersucker shorts today ... so yeah, I guess maybe it is an eastern thing.

Shiny, the top is Limited. It was a total impluse buy. It was on sale. Now, I LOVE it. I don't see much about the Limited on the forum but I find that the have fun things from time to time. I do recall a great shirt Shell got once that we all raved about but that's about it.

Oh, darn... I usually can't fit in Limited clothing -- too long. It's a great shirt. A statement shirt.

Hi Alecia...I'm always tickled when people travel to New England and comment on how nice it is. Mystic CT is a great little spot.

I loved all your outfits....I have to ask...where did you get the jacket you wore in the first photo?? I am always on the lookout for jackets w/out breast pockets.

You looked so stylish in the orange dress. It was a little Jackie O-esque. Especially considering you were in a New England Costal area. Very classy and elegant.
