In truth, I love the black brocade - it looks like Grace Kelly meets Film Noir! The green is lovely, but I wasn't sure about the cut of the top - if you have to wear a bra (I always do), it looks tricksy.
If I loved both dresses equally, the reviews would sway me towards the black. Multiple comments say there is a LOT of fabric in the green skirt, and that the bodice is complicated to try and fit and keep in place. But the thing that would finally scare me off in the end is the first comment, that the green dress needs to be steamed well before it can be worn. My experience with clothes that need to be 'steamed well', that is that if I sit down for more than 20 minutes, when I stand up, they are super-wrinkled.
All of that aside, what does your heart lean towards?
(ETA - I don't know the etiquette of tattoos as weddings, so I cannot answer. If I were getting married - ha! - I would be fine with it).
