Watches - which color do you like better?

I've been browsing watches and I think I want to get another one this spring. I've tried some watches for size in a departement store today and I found these versions while browsing online. The pictures are of a man wearing them, but he must have very small wrists - the corresponding watch did look alright on my arm.

I'm in love with the look of the watch face (don't pay attention to the bands), but I can't decide which color I like better. The white is so elegant, but then I have a watch with a white watch face already. I'm not sure the warm green would go well with some of my things, but I really like the way the numbers and watch hands look against the color. And I want to get one with a different vibe, it should be fun to change them with the outfit.

Do you have a favourite for me?

(I won't order them now, I'm going to do some more looking in any case.)

I'm a yes for the green. If you're looking still, maybe you will come across a slightly different tone of green? Then maybe it will go with more of your clothes. Or sometimes it's nice to put a new shade into the mix. Playing devils advocate now

I'd choose the green shown, or a blue or black face if they call to you... variety from your white watch IYKWIM? By the way, I have been nothing short of thrilled with my Seiko 5 series watches so I think that is a great line to look at.

Hi Astrid - I agree with the consensus, the green is eye catching. I probably would be weighing the same question you are: (how many things would it go with?). But you might be surprised. I like shades of purple and green together, also shades of deep pink and green, etc. So, it might end up being a great accent color!

Green! Definately! And I see it go well with all your colours in your wardrobe - lots of nice earthy, autumny stuff, isn't it? I think it will go really nice with more vibrant colour as well - just think of bright flowers and the green as background. I don't think you can go wrong with this one

I'm going to be the voice of dissent here - I prefer the white one. I think a green one would be fun, but I don't particularly care for the shade of green on that watch (which could just be a function of my computer monitor).

Thanks Diane! I've not seen another green one out there so far that fit style wise, just one that was way too sporty for me. The color might not be a problem when I pair it with a band that goes well with my things.

Thanks Sarah! I thought Seiko 5 was a good place too start. Although many of them look a bit too sporty for my style, that's why I liked the one above so much. The classic Seiko with the blue watch face is great too (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/i.....AA300_.jpg), but it's very sporty. There's actually a version of the first one with a black watch face, but not available anywhere in Europe. I agree that a watch with a non-white watch face is a good idea.

Thanks Abby! I wear green too and I like the color combinations you mentioned, I'm just a bit concerned because the color reads like a very warm olive green on my screen. In some pictures the green looks darker, so I'm not sure how it would come across IRL.

Thanks Harmonica! I do like softer colors, but I don't really wear all earthy colors. I don't wear brown at all besides tan for leather bags, belts and shoes. I wear lots of blue, grey and purples. A bit red and green too.

I prefer white one. In general, white and black shade watches will go with almost all cloth color shades in your wardrobe. If you go with green, then you can wear it with green shade clothes only. I normally prefer white or black shaded watches either for my personal use or to present anyone (gifted a Fastrack white dial watch to one of my cousin).

If you've already got a white one, and you are drawn to the green one, then I vote green. I like having some variety in watches to choose from. (I used to have a red-faced watch, and I really miss it!) Personally, I love that particular green. I think it would be great with navy, purple, and grey.

Thanks Viva. But take care, zombie thread behind you... I did try a different Seiko back then, but returned it in the end. And now I'm using my dad's old watch as an alternative instead.

hahaha! Seems like a lot of old threads are being resurrected lately!!! I have to remember to check dates before giving my two cents.
