I saw this jacket with an unbeatable price: http://www.legacyofpearl.com/5291258

It seems like a great alternative to trench coats for warm weather falls, but it is white.

Angie: What do you think about wearing white in winter? I feel like a white jacket is a summer thing, but is it still so when it is warm outside? I have a white jacket that I'm retiring and maybe would get this instead.

I think you can definitely wear white in winter. I'm curious to hear what Angie says, though.

I also think you can wear white in the winter -- I am thinking of all the pretty snow white puffer jackets and cream coats I see in the winter.

I think white in winter is fine. It really depends on the material of the garment. White items in spring/summer fabrications can look out of place (depending on your climate), but white items in slightly heavier fabrics work. I wear my white watch year round and it always goes.

There you go, LOP. The gals have you sorted. It's essentially all about the fabric.

However, white watches and shirts get my vote no matter what time of year it is. And if our Winters weren’t so nasty, I’d be wearing white Doc Martens too.

BTW--I love a jacket with cropped sleeves, but if you need it for chillier days, consider long-sleeved tops, arm warmers, or opera-length gloves--or some combination thereof!

Thanks for the great advice everyone. I decided to get this jacket.

I have white boots, puffers and a watch , so I feel like it's ok in the snow. What got me was the fabric, but it is always warm in San Diego to wear such fabrics.

Garmenta: I like the idea of arm warmers for cool SD evenings. I never tried it before.

I love white/cream in the winter and after finding YLF, I added so many items for cooler weather in these colors - white cords, white long puffer, white short puffer etc. I could see this jacket looking great with a longer sleeve top once it gets cooler too!
