I'm a very exaggerated pear shape, in that I have 37" hips and aa cups. I'm also very short waisted and a little short. Here's what I consider to be the absolute basics of my wardrobe. Tell me if you disagree with my choices, or add your own ideas.
1)Fitted, collarless or mandarin collar shirts and shirtresses, especially with ruffles or pleating over the chest, and puff shoulders or bishop sleeves.
2)puff sleeve crew neck tees
3)tanks with deeply set-in shoulders (typical of racer back tanks)
4)Long sleeve tees with high shallow v-necks
5)low-rise bootcut and straight-leg pants
6)knee length a-line skirts
7) cowl-neck sweaters
8) extremely cropped (bust-length) cardigans
9) elaborate bib necklaces
10)chunky or very tailored vests with a deep narrow v and single button.
I try to avoid scoop necks, wide v's, tunics, tapered pants, drop shoulders, drop waists, cropped pants, and hmmm... stilletos and loose billowy shapes.
