Violent Femmes concert - what to wear?

Hi all. I got last minute tickets to see Violent Femmes tonight at the Lincoln Theater (a band I've been wanting to see since high school because mom wouldn't let me go back in the day ) and have no clue what to wear. I'm planning to leave work early so I can change and then stand in line to get good seats (general admission with seats).

It's hot, humid, and rainy so I may be getting wet. LOL!

Suggestions?

Tee shirt killer jacket and jeans and some type of cool shoe. Enjoy yourself.

My concert outfit is pretty much what Ledonna described. Excellent tee, usually my leather lapel tux jacket and some distinctive shoe with jeans. Hot weather? Maybe a jean skirt or cutoffs with a silk cami, if it doesn't feel too exposed. And of course, perfect opportunity to wear big earrings.

Whoa! Was just listening to them. So jealous!
Jeans you can dance in, something black on top to work with your fabulous hair, platforms so you can see everything.
My mom wouldn't let me go either. Have a total BLAST!

I hope you are having a great time. Add It Up, Gone Daddy Gone, Blister in the Sun -- all those songs really transcend their era. However, the best thing for you to wear would have been some Commander Salamander relics, if you lived in DC in the 80s (I went to college there.)

You're probably already gone by now, but if not, I'd go for jeans and a silky tank. There's no way I'd wear a jacket to a Femmes concert in the summer. You would literally end up like a blister in the sun.

I can't believe the Violent Femmes are still together! (shows what I know.) I saw them more than once in college in some bar in Philadelphia or maybe Dover? and probably still know some of their songs by heart. Based on my past experience, something you wouldn't mind having beer spilled on, but that is probably not helpful! Hope it is great!

Waaaaay too late but I'd do leggings, combat boots and a drapey tee.

I also like to do a bunch of leather wristbands, it's silly but I like the way they look when my hands are in the air.
