Thanks for all the comments everyone. It is interesting Marianne - your comment about personality. I find that when I've seen YLF members with their faces blocked and then I see them with their faces revealed, it makes a HUGE difference. Maybe someday I can get there.
Medusa - these were the Fleuvogs that caught my eye. I was on a trip to Vancouver and his main shop (he has his workshop on the second floor) caught our eye because it was a beautiful structure. The 2nd thing that caught my eye was this shoe. It was the first pair that I tried and it worked. I was a little worried about the heel height and the ankle straps - whether they would "bite". However, they have worked very well. They are more comfy that my Franco Sarto booties which are the only other heels I have this high. I can walk in the Fluevogs. I have worn them for a full day but a full day when I'm not on my feed teaching for 8 hours - rather one where I have meetings or when I'm co-teaching so that I can sit around. That is however, more because of the strain of wearing high heels than the construction of the shoe itself. I have wide feet and like arch support. So far no issues with either of those. I wore them for a full day at home before wearing them outside in case I wanted to return them. One other thing, they make a little bit of a squeaking sound when you first wear them as you break in the leather. Nothing huge but it's noticeable. Also, while the straps didn't bother me, they did Angie when she tried them.
