Vest fit question and new-ish to skirts

I don't wear too many skirts. So I'd love any comments you have on this one. I've been admiring this on Antje and finally found it in my size. I will also be posting separately some more skirts and tops for your feedback.

In addition, I found this vest at Express - it's a 6 and I'm normally a 4 but it was snug at the chest. However, is it too loose on the sides near the arm hole?

Sihaya, I think the skirt and vest look great! I can't see any gaping at the arm hole. I love how you popped a bright color underneath it.

I love the entire combination and I think the vest fits well. The only thing I would suggest is shortening the skirt a tiny bit.

I'm the lone dissenter here, but I'm not fond of the vest fit on you. I think there's a better vest cut somewhere out there for you.

I really like the skirt on you. I think the length is fine but might look good a little shorter as well. You'll have to pin it up and see.

Your shoes are wonderful!!! Love them! Are they blue?

I'm by far not a vest expert but I tend to agree with Dani - I don't like the way it gapes over the bust. Maybe it's because that's something I struggle with as well as a bustier person. Love the skirts on you - buy more!!! I think it looks fine as is especially with a heel but you may want to shorten a bit if you'll wear it mostly with flats.

Ahhh, I was thrown by the foot tan lines I just posted on your other thread that I own those shoes as well. Glad I don't have to have shoe envy!

LOL - my tans lines this year are unreal! I even now have a tan line where I wear my wedding ring. It's blisteringly hot here this week.

I'm with Shana and Dani. The vest is OK but not really killer. I think you can find a better one. There just seems to be too much space in between each "strap" of the vest. Skirt fits great but I think it could be a little shorter.

Hi Sihaya..The skirt is fab on you and I agree it would be totally killer if shortened a bit for petite you. As for the vest..its not bad..but not as amazing as some of your other pieces. maybe you could try it with a different top to see if it looks any different..like a woven button down. The arm holes dont bother me as much as the way it looks at the bust..seems like the fit of the vest is different from that of the top?

Thanks Maya and Mirah. And based on everyone's comments, at this point I'll be returning the vest. I only want killer outfits now.

Maya - the album is there for snooping, so I guess that means you're not snooping These are all pix I've posted on the forum at one point or another. I got that dress from Express 2 seasons ago.
