I have an interview for a potentially awesome job tomorrow afternoon. The position is Career Services Advisor at an post-secondary arts school. I've been working from home for the last 6 months so I don't have a lot of career clothes. The friend who works there and who let me know about the job opening says the dress code is business casual, basically just no jeans. What should I wear? A suit, or separates? I am willing to buy whatever I need and plan to go out later this afternoon to shop.
I currently have three white button-down shirts: one fitted and plain, one with a tie at the back (so no layering), and one tuxedo-style that is very good quality. I also have a black ruffle button-down shirt. I have one black cotton sateen blazer, and a black poly pencil skirt. I bought the blazer last year at a sample sale for Artitzia, so I may go there and see if they have any skirts or pants in the same fabrication. Otherwise, I'll try a couple of consignment stores or the usual downtown shops (Zara, BR, H&M, the Bay--a department store, Club Monaco, etc.) I need shoes too--should I stick with basic black pumps?
Help please!
