A while back I posted about strictly limiting my palette: black, white, gray, navy (includes denim), with very minor hints of other colors. And a little bit of metallic silver.

So far this has been great, to the point where even if I order an amazing item - recently I ordered a beautiful cashmere cardigan in a vibrant blue - if it's not the right color, it goes back. I know I just won't wear it. The idea of layering a color under my black and gray and navy sounds pretty in the abstract, but feels too calculated to me in practice. (Besides, where I live now, it's mostly too warm to layer.)

Very happy with my wardrobe. I do not miss other colors at ALL. This is probably due to the inherent texture of the knits I wear, to be honest. Someone else might feel drab but I love it.
