So, I am now in the final trimester, and it has been exceedingly rough.

Work has been hellish. More stressful than ever before. The acid reflux has been really bad. We had to potty train DD so she could start pre-school, and start she did. That was another adventure. I was then diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The monitoring, the extra doctor appointments, it has been beyond overwhelming. Especially with a super heavy workload and a pre-schooler.

I have no family history of it, and didn't have it with the first pregnancy, so it blindsided me. After 10 days of trying to control it with food, and failing despite cutting almost all carbs out of my diet (and making me cranky, tired and irritible besides), it looks like it is stress induced. Numbers are significantly higher during working hours. Imagine that. So, I started medication, which hasn't made me feel great either.

We are now for sure looking at a scheduled C-section. Not ideal, but worth it if we can all get through this healthy.

I go in next week for another ultrasound on baby. Hopefully, none of this has affected her.

Needless to say, fashion has taken a back seat. I wear my formula of black pants or maxi skirt, with a basic top, and a pair of sandals. If I am feeling adverturous, I will add a watch and/or necklace. I'll deal with getting fall appropriate pants in the next few weeks to get me through to the end of October. A c-section is going to mean living in super soft yoga pants for at least 6 weeks if last time is any indication.

So, I will have almost a full 6 months of fashion budget to work with once I am ready to go back to work in January. At least there is an upside.
