Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

Two more jackets -- do these work?

(I promise, I'm almost finished with my jacket questions!)

First is an ATL brown jacket in a silky tropical-weight wool. Uninteresting on its own, but I dress it up with accessories for work. I had the sleeves shortened already, but does the waist need altering?

Second is a deep olive velveteen fitted jacket. I already had it altered --is the fit right on this one?

Here it is as part of work outfit from cooler weather (with my calf-tailored boots and a charcoal pencil skirt): http://i649.photobucket.com/al.....0054_1.jpg

Thank you for bearing with me as I work out my jacket situation!

It's a bit hard for me to see the jacket details since they are dark, but I think they fit well, April. I like the work outfit you put together; the boots add a nice kick to the ensemble.

I love tropical wool, so wearable. I think both jackets look like they fit well. And I like the way you dressed jacket #2 with layering.

You may want to move the buttons just a smidge if you prefer a slightly more snug fit on #1,it would save you on aditional alteration cost at this point, but it looks good as is...you always look GOOD!! :)

Love that you had the boots tailored...!!

Love the first one, April! KEEP.

Can't really see the second one's fit. Think you can manage another pic?

Love the fit and style of the first jacket on you. I can't tell much of the fit of the second jacket, but the style is great!

I will post another photo of the second jacket tomorrow, hopefully in better light.

Taylor - ahem (blushing) -- thank you. And thank you for suggesting moving the buttons a bit on a jacket instead of having it taken in; that would not have occurred to me in a hundred years. I posted about having those boots taken in: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....replies=10 It's fun to have one pair that fit as they are supposed to!

Chris -- I will try to remember that outfit when the weather turns again in October...

Angie -- I got that brown jacket at a consignment shop for a great price, plus the $10 to have the sleeves shortened. So glad it made the "keep" pile!

Niva -- stay tuned for a better photo tomorrow!

Thanks for all your input, Muses...
