Two dresses: yay or nay?

I got so distracted at the Bloomie's sale today that I never even made it to my intended destination of AT Loft to check out that vest. Focus is not my forte these days

As a result, I came home with two new dresses. Could you please rate them? Keep or return? Thank you soooo much for looking!

Dress one made me exclaim 'WOW WEEE', which is the highest form of praise in a house with a two year old. A definite keep.

I also love the second dress, it looks so relaxed and comfortable. Another Keeper.

The fuschia MJ is flat out killer. The seaming and the neckline are so unique. Definitely a keeper. I quite like the second dress as well for a more casual and relaxed look. Girl, you really rock those dresses!

I think the first dress is flat out 'killer' as Angie would say. As soon as I saw it, I thought WOW!

I like the second one too - but it's more casual. That first one is *amazing* though!

Ooooh that Marc Jacobs dress is amazing... definitely a keeper.

I like the second one, seems like a good everyday piece. Feels very wintery to me.

You know what's odd? The second dress is considerably more expensive than the first (the Marc Jacobs). Given that, I am considering returning the second one. Not sure it's worth spending that much, given it's a sweater dress.

First one is totally killer. What an amazing color and neckline.

I don't really care much for the second one. Something about the stripes and colorblocking isn't working for me and it just doesn't stand up to what I have seen you wear in the past. Considering how expensive it is, I can't give my blessings.

I am so excited because we have a benefit to attend at the Palmer House on Thursday and this dress will be perfect. Also it kind of dresses down with flat patent boots and a moto jacket. I'll try to get another photo of it dressed down.

Okay, I have tried a few items with the dress in an effort to dress it down as much as possible for everyday wear. The dress sort of resists being dressed down!

Can you let me know which options are most successful at making this dress more casual? Thank you again for looking ...

Repeating what's already been said -- The fuschia one is definitely stunning. So glad you are keeping it. The second one looks a bit matronly, I think because of the way it is cut.

I like the MJ dress best with the moto vest--everything you wear with that vest looks so stylish!

I think that the second 2 pictures are the same, I have not seen the motojacket yet. I like the dress with the vest but am not sure about the boots. Maybe too much black?
I could be wrong if the textures are distinctly different. The dress is just gorgeous!!!

I think the outfits look nice but the ones with the moto jacket and vest are very "heavy" looks to me, I think because of all the black leather (and then the tights are also black). Maybe a small shot of white is in order? Or nude microfishnets instead? I just feel the outfits need some lightness.

Laura, you did a sterling job of dressing the frock down. I expected nothing less! Can you fit a thin turtle neck under the frock too? That will REALLY dress it down.

I like them all except the one with the vest - it fusses up the already complicated neckline with too much detail, and also, as Maya says, it makes it look too "heavy" to me.
