Trying skinnies tucked into boots

A while back I was looking for some tall boots to wear with my skinny jeans. I found a gorgeous pair of Franco Sarto boots on the clearance rack of TJ Maxx for a steal:

Here is my first attempt at an outfit with them. I actually wore this outfit on two different occasions and the pictures are taken at different angles.

I feel like maybe I look a bit wide in the front angle shot. I wonder if maybe I need to try a different top?

FABULOUS! You totally rock this look, I do not think you look wide - your legs look a million miles long. There are so many great tops you could wear with those boots. You OWN this look!

You do not look wide at all. Another idea with this is to wear a cropped jacket/cardi ( maybe even a bit swingy) over a longer fitted layer ( the length of your blue sweater).

I don't think you look the least bit wide. The jeans-in-boots look works well, and your timing is excellent...it's SOOOO cold right now (though I'm not sure where you live).

Thank you so much ladies! I thought it looked okay in the mirror, but then after I took the picture, I thought I looked different. I got that sweater on sale at Victoria's Secret and I liked it so much, I got two others in different colors.

I live in central Ohio and it is very cold here and we got our first big snow. In fact, I just in from cleaning up the driveway. Luckily we bought a snow blower this year, so it was a lot easier than shoveling. Unfortunately, the high is supposed to be in the single digits tomorrow.

Also Tanya, thanks for the idea of trying a cropped cardi. I actually have one that is a bit swingy and I wasn't sure how to wear it. I will definitely have to try it with the jeans.
