...or at least part of it. Those Franka shoes made me swoon, so while I was out renewing my driver's license today, I stopped in at the shop and swooned some more. They are even lovelier in person than on the Infinity website -- so lovely that I bought them! There goes my fall shoe budget. I got the brown/cream ones:

I usually wear a 5.5 or 6, and in these I opted for the 6 so I can wiggle my toes. So I will agree with those of you who commented that they run true to size or a little small.

Oh, how pretty! Wow. If they weren't above my height comfort level (I've personally sworn off anything over 3"), I'd snap them up in a second.

Kari: I think they're about 3", no more. I felt perfectly comfortable walking around the shop in them, and I'm not a die-hard high heel fan. I only started wearing heels about three years ago.

Elisabeth, the website says they are 3.25". It's just a bit too tall for me. Ideally I like to stay in the 2-2.5" range these days so that I can walk a long time in my shoes, but 3" is my upper limit.

You'll have to enjoy them for me, okay?

Bella, I know what you mean. They were a splurge. I can't buy any more shoes for probably nearly a year! But to put it in perspective (or perhaps to rationalize?), I rarely splurge on an article of clothing. And I have relatively few clothes, since I don't have an office wardrobe.

I bought the brown and cream, but I did try on the black and cream ones. They were both beautiful, but I have a wardrobe hole for brown shoes.

ETA: Kari, I'll think of you the first time I wear them out.

Wow Elisabeth - thanks so much! I'm so glad you love them. I actually ended up going to our local store that carries Miz Mooz and they also had them. I absolutely LOVED them but alas, found them a wee bit too high. I dislocated my left knee last October on a cross-country marathon and since then, have to be very careful about heel height and the angle of my foot, otherwise, it tends to want to pull my knee cap out of place again. I could tell after walking in them for about 15 minutes in the store, they were not going to work. They were super comfortable, just too high. I guess I have to get my head around switching from Team Heels to Team Flats! Please enjoy them for me though!!!

Oh, T Shannon, I was going to urge you to go out and get them this instant! I'm sorry they're too high -- but you're right, there's no point buying a beautiful shoe that you can't wear. Thank you so much for calling attention to them. I will enjoy them for you.

By the way, Miz Mooz has another pair of two-tone shoes (not out yet, but coming) that I also really liked -- flat oxfords with a toe cap and saddle. You saw those in the ad, right? I would get those too if I could afford two new pairs of shoes. Are those up your alley?

The oxfords are definitely up my alley - and with no heel height issues, would totally work for me. MIght have to head back to the store...
