Tops for blue ombre skirt

OK gals here I go again ;) Please do warn me when I become too annoying with this type of post.

Inspired by Angie's today's wonderful blog post and your responses on the skirt thread, I am tackling the tops for skirts issue. I am trying to shop my closet to find (at least) three options for my each of full and a-line skirts. The first one is the most tricky one for me-the blue ombre one. Here are 9 possibilities:
1. tucked-in white button-down shirt
2. tucked-in white knit top
3. off-white top
4. cream cardi
5. yellow cami & white cardi
6. yellow wrap shirt
7. pink wrap top
8. white cami & cropped pink cardi
9. aqua silk tank belted with white belt

Please feel free to comment on both shapes and colors. And in case the colors on pics are not clear, the color gradation on the skirt ends with very dark navy.

Never too annoying my dear, Tanya. That’s what this forum is for!

I have my fav’s:

1. White cami with pink cardi – Super 50’s look. Festive. (8)
2. Lemon wrap shirt ( large bow). Very good silhouette on you. Add a turquoise necklace (6)
3. White dipped cowl neck sleeveless top. Add that same turquoise necklace, or earrings. (2)

You shopped well in your closet. Lets see if there is a consenses.

I love the wrap tops Tanya, especially the one with the supersized bow. it's adorable. My other favorite is the sleeveless cowlneck. The length is perfect.

The bright fuschia colors are a little too much for me, but in a less concentrated form like a cami I think it's great.

I agree with Maya and Angie. The wrap tops are nice and interesting, and the white cowl neck is very flattering. Nice job--now you can spend your money on other fun things. A turquoise necklace would be great.

I also like both of the wrap tops and the pink cardi is cute too!

My faves are #2 and #8, with runners-up being #5 and #7. I love fuchsia with the skirt...
I guess I'm the only one so far for whom the yellow wrap top with the bow didn't make the list. But you know, this is just a matter of taste, I'm not so into the bow thing. But I agree the cut is nice on you!
My least favorite is probably #4 because it lacks a little bit of omph. But all tops are flattering! Nice.

Thank you ladies, I truly appreciate your input. I'll go with your picks!
Maya,I actually have a simple fuschia cami. I may try it instead of the yellow in outfit #5.
Angie, I loove the idea of a turquoise necklace! I'll be looking for one!
Antje, I got the fuschia idea from you!

Ana, your remark is spot on. Actually, when it comes to shopping, I am radically switching my situation/strategy from May, since I'm moving to new significantly more expensive apartment so my shopping budget is going to be dramatically reduced. I already have a lots of clothes, I'm relatively good at picking cute items. However, I'm quite bad at putting outfits together, and here I am finding your advice irreplaceable! I'm even worse at accessories, I have almost none, but I'm trying to change that.

So my plan from now on is to shop in my closet , and try to get some cute scarves, necklaces and shoes to actually make outfits. I still might get an occasional item, but only if it's perfect and I have almost everything else to go with it.

The turquoise necklace suggestion certainly hit it's spot!

I loved every last one of them. Each one had a different mood, and different accessorizing potential.

I do think the belted one gave you the skinniest waist of all... that one popped right out at me, and I was thinking "sheesh does she have a 17 inch waist??" My mom had a 17 inch waist in the 50s (but I think she must've worn corsets). This one reminded me of some photos I have of her from that time period.

The shrunken fuschia cardi caught my eye next. LOVE IT.

Then the lemon wrap shirt - it was softer and more romantic - again, a totally different mood!

And I liked also the tucked in camp shirt, it had a different mood too.

All of them looked great!

I think you need some fushcia shoes... would look great with the lemon and white tops.

Yay! Fushia shoes!

There seems to be somewhat of a consenses. Interesting.

Ooh, Shiny, thanks for a wonderful post! My waist is 25", can't imagine what 17" would be!
And the idea of fuschia shoes rocks! As they say in my country, it's not difficult to make a frog jump into water!

I just looked around :

Thoughts? I love that last pair!

My vote is for the Chinese Laundry pair if you can deal with all the straps, but I can definitely see you in the last pair as well. :)

I echo, Ana. Love the Chinese Laundry. And the frog jumping into water! Where is "your" country Tanya?

Thanks for the input, ladies. I'll add those Chinese Laundry shoes to my ever-growing shoe-wish list ( to be tackled when the tax refund arrives :)

Angie, I am from Serbia. I came here for grad school in 2002 when it was still named Yugoslavia, and there were quite a few name (and teritory) changes in between. I am am really hoping that does not continue.

Wow, that third pair is stunning! If you can wear those heels, I'd go for it, it's quite a statement.
Of the remaining two, I'm with the rest of the crowd and like the Chinese Laundry ones.
