Sorry, I'm all over this forum like a cheap suit today!

Just wondering what length of top is appropriate to wear with bermuda-style shorts, the length I prefer and that got the YLF stamp of approval. Do I treat them like pants, or do I emulate the skirt look because length is similar? Could I get away with something in between? Namely I'm thinking of the sleevelss aqua top I peared with a summer skirt in a recent pic. It's slightly longer than hip-bone length and noone seemed to mind it with the skirt, but would it be too short to match with my black shorts for a casula dinner out on a steamy summer night (like this evening, for instance)?
