Delurking to say that I got a fabulous faded denim shirt at Target for $19.99. It's almost identical to the Gap shirts that folks were liking but had the odd bleach spot on the lower front. I looked at that shirt at the Gap (and its $59 price tag) and decided I didn't like the bleach spot either.
This Target shirt has pearl snap buttons, two-button cuffs. It's in my top five favorite purchases of the summer. It has darts in the chest and is very slightly fitted but still enough ease in the hips to wear untucked. I think it runs slightly large. The wash is slightly faded but not overly distressed.
I am loving it worn untucked over a white skirt with a belt. Today, I am wearing it tucked with bermuda length marigold denim shorts, scored on clearance at Kolh's for $12, and a multicolored ribbon belt. I looked for a denim/chambray shirt all summer and scored my Target shirt a week or so ago. It's their Merona brand. I've worn it three times and have gotten compliments each time. It's a winner, esp. due to the very reasonable price. This will become a wardrobe workhorse for me.
