Those Who Like To Wear Colour Need to Move to the UK for Fall

London Fashion Week is SO MUCH more colour-rich than NYFW was for Fall 2013. Lots of Winter white too. I'm shopping in London in Autumn.

Jokes aside, I really hope that the US keeps its vast assortment of colour at retail level. I'm talking to all the fashion buyers right now. Here me please!!!

abc, it was me who planted that seed in Rae's head. I think it's a wise decision to buy up items in your favourite colours when you see them. Your colours are not always available - least of all in the items that you have in mind when the mood strikes you to flesh out your wardrobe.

I really hope color stays. I have quite enjoyed the rich jewel tones for myself, and have loved seeing bright colors on others!

After seeing the nearly neon display at the GAP a while back, I guess it shouldn't surprise me things are swinging the other way.

Angie: As a "jewel tone" girl who had to live through a decade of paprika, mustard and pistachio, I know you speak the truth! My problem? I feel I'm still circling the airport in my style journey --- not a bad thing -- I just haven't landed at my destination yet. As a result (and a result of a slow but continuing weight loss that might give me my "looser" fits naturally), I've not been up to investment purchasing. Maybe a coat, if I find anything left, in a rich sapphire blue? Coats are more forgiving on fit and more classic in style.

I'd love to go to London. I'm always after DH to get a Guest Lecturer position at Oxford!

Beth Ann, remember that your goal is to dress the body you have now. Always. Just purchase less than you used to if you are on a weight loss journey.

I'm the opposite. When all we could get were jewel tones a few years ago, I resorted back to neutrals because I'm not a jewel tone girl. I've been lucky with colour over the last few years. You have to milk it while you can!

I've always had an affinity for British fashion. I'm excited to hear more of your thoughts on the shows. I love colour and I love black too. I think my problem is that I actually like too many things.

I really hope all the wonderful color choices are not gone this fall. By then I will be looking for a colored coat. Ink/ navy has still been minimal here.
