Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

thinking through jacket purchase

I like the look of this jacket, but I tend to be reactive about purchases. I'm looking to create a wardrobe that reflects my lifestyle (stay at home mom, young, in shape), but also has an fashionable edge.

What do you think?

I like the jacket but would get very annoyed with the kids playing with the collar.

I think the jacket is quite cute, have you considered another color? I love the green???
I have so many black jackets but if you do not then this might be the one.

Greenglove,

I have other jackets (I have such a weakness for them...), but not one black one. :) But the green is good too. The gray looks too much like sweats, in my opinion.

I saw this jacket in the store; it's an unusual shape, and the fabric is like a soft sweatshirt. I thought it was cute but it's not something I have reason to wear. It sounds like it might work better for you, though!

I loved this jacket online but didn't like it as much in the store. IRL, it looked too much like a sweatshirt to me, even in the other colors. It's too bad because I like the lines. It was too droopy in real life, if that makes any sense.

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work irl. The jacket reminds me a bit of the cascading cardigans we have been seeing (and which I love). Have you considered those?
