It's been a unusually cool and rainy summer around here (OK) so far, but we have had only a couple days of typical 100F/40C weather. Here's what I'd forgotten about really hot days:

In the winter I can wear pants 3-5 times and tops 2-3 times before washing them. In the summer, pants can be worn twice at most, tops only once. Bras need to be washed after every wear - in fact sometimes I change bras half way though the day (sorry if that's TMI).

Closed toes shoes without socks are only OK when temps are maybe 60/70F, over that, GROSS, give me sandals.

Necklaces: FORGET IT. Statement earrings are the way to go.

Scarves are only used as an AC coverup, I have no interest in draping them around my neck for decoration at high temps.

Hair goes UP over 80F or so, get it off my face, off my neck. But my hair is heavy and I get headaches after a few hours, so no complex styles, they must be easy to take down and then put back up. This is why I frequently wear pigtails, even though the are wildly inappropriate for a 46 year old.

It's really hard (for me) to feel stylish at high temps!

Pic: Example of a typical high summer out fit for me: linen cropped pants, tank top, sandals, silk scarf, hair up, no jewelry except big earrings. I felt wildly frumpy and boring in this, but I'm not sure how to improve, so suggestions are welcome.
