These types of posts are so inspiring to me. Based on the these very inspiring posts, I am going to do something different this year.

Every single season (twice a year), I switch out my entire closet. It is a lot of work. It involves pulling everything out of my closets/dressers, cleaning it, folding it, and putting it into storage. It is almost ritualistic and it certainly sets my frame of mind for the upcoming season. The season has not changed for me until I perform this task. It usually takes an entire weekend and multiple trips to the dry cleaners.

What I have noticed since joining YLF is that as I inspect the clothing that are being rotated into my upcoming seasonal working wardrobe, I frequently think "oh, why did I save this?" Why did I spend that time and money cleaning/pressing/storing this? What was I thinking?

I'm not going to do that this year. If I have doubts about something I am going to purge it. There is no reason to clean/press/store something that is less than fabulous. These are the items with which I have made due for one reason or another. Usually that reason is that I don't want to admit the garment was a mistake right out of the gate.

I am hoping too that entire categories will become part of my full-time wardrobe. This is a completely new paradigm. I purposely focused on buying sleeveless tops this past season with the idea that most of them will become part of my winter wardrobe as layering pieces. Win-Win.

In time, I hope that my entire closet will become three-to-four season.

Finally, as I contemplate this process, I realize that pre-YLF, my wardrobe was incredibly bloated. I had a lot of storage space and evidently I kept everything. Everything. It wasn't until I found YLF that I started to really think about style and preferences. I started making decisions that really paid off. So the journey continues.

Oh, these posts have also made me want to start clutter cleaning other areas of the house like the attic, cupboards, etc.
