Tonight my friend Tricia (TriciaW on the forum) sent me some photos of my Ellie that I had never seen before. You know how it is when you lose someone, eventually you come to the point when you have seen all of the photos and everything from that point on has been relived and rehashed... Well we reached that point years ago. But tonight she sent these treasures. Ellie had decided to cut her hair to donate for Locks of Love. A few months later she was in the hospital, diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma. And the thank you letter came from Locks of Love while we were in the hospital. These photos were taken in Tricia's back yard, and all over again, I am kneeling in the grass with sweet little arms around my neck. Priceless.

(On a side note, you can see my old hair color. This is my natural hair color with heavy highlights added. Please ignore the lack of hair styling and lack of makeup. We were having a lazy crazy sort of day, and in that moment I never imagined the importance and permanence of these photos. But in hind sight, I don't care in the slightest.)
