Dana, I'm a bit stunned and confused. Obviously you don't owe any explanation for leaving, but since you're a valued and outspoken longtime member, I'd like to ask what specifically triggered this decision. What aesthetic turn do you feel the forum has taken exactly? And since you, like many of us here, are interested in discussion as well as feedback, how has that aspect changed?
I certainly don't always agree with everyone's opinions or style choices here, but the critical yet civil discussions and resulting expanding of my horizons keeps me engaged. The more diversity we have here, the better. Leaving only diminishes that diversity. Where else would people not only accept but understand and embrace my UWP self despite being as far from it as possible themselves? And I feel you've gotten the same acceptance - people get and admire that you have your own defined preferences, and even know them, to the point where I can see an item and think immediately of you.
Surely brown shoes with black tights can't be SO polarizing? It looks like even people who sport the look responded very cordially to you - I can't find any comments claiming offense. You don't hesitate to express strong opinions, and I appreciate you and others doing so - understanding that it's all in the name of having fun with fashion. We're talking legwear, after all.
