It's so unbelievably cold here at the moment- most of Ireland is covered in snow at the moment. So with that in mind, I went with my uniform of skinnies and boots to guarantee warmth, a couple of layers for the varied heating situation around university (underheated computer labs, overheated library), and a random splash of colour. I also added some lip stain as I looked like death slightly warmed up this morning to give me some life to my face.

Unfortunately I took this photo when I came home from uni this evening so I look just slightly rumpled in it, and I also forgot to smile. >.<

So, do the combination of two random colours of dark purple and light green work together?

Also, any suggestions for cheering up my winter uniform of skinnies and boots? I am so tired of the cold and just want spring and some warmth to arrive back into my life!

You look great! I didn't know you were from Ireland-one of the places I hope to visit one day. With all the glum news in the US, I have gone to my stack of "comfort" books and Maeve Binchy is at the top.

I too feel like I'm getting in a rut with wearing a uniform in this cold weather! I would mind a bit warmer weather to melt the snow so I can wear some different shoes other than boots.

Thanks everyone. Yay for the approval of purple and green together- it seems to be an unexpected combination that works.

Susan- I love Maeve Binchy. She's my guilty pleasure author. My favourite book of hers is probably Circle of Friends.

I loved that one too-the first one I ever read. I am rereading Quentins now. Do you know if she is she still writing?

Angie, I love my short hair. I really think that I have found a hairstyle that suits me and my lifestyle. I almost think that I finally have found an element of my own style instead of just going with the shoulder-length hair that I previously had just because I didn't want to take a risk.
