Descriptions of your daily ensembles

Tassajara- 13th Feb

Hi!

Sorry I haven't been posting for a while. My dissertation is due on Thursday so I've been very busy for the last couple of weeks finishing it off.

Anyway, here is Friday's outfit: http://i396.photobucket.com/al.....1234731108

The weather was beautiful and not bitterly cold or rainy on Friday. I had morning lectures and a date with my boyfriend Alan that afternoon.

So from feet upwards: Cream and black spectator flats, black opaque tights, black and navy stripy aline skirt (wardrobe orphan), black cami and cream knit top.

I was listening to Blondie that morning so I decided to go for some Debbie Harry inspired makeup - grey eyeliner, black mascara and clear lipgloss.

As I am trying to wear everything in my wardrobe this month, I decided to try to give my wardrobe orphan skirt an outing. Does it work with the cream top? I also think I might need some red accessories to make this outfit pop.

Thanks,

Dawn

I really like this outfit, Dawn. It's very cute. The spectators make it. The skirt is adorable and I'd think it'd be very versatile. I'm surprised it's an orphan. Does it have details that one can't see in the picture?

Thanks Alecia! Looking at the photo now, I'm kicking myself for not wearing it sooner. When I bought it, I had no suitable tops for it and it was only recently that I got the cream sweater that I'm wearing. After wearing this skirt, I have no more wardrobe orphans! :-)

So cute and simple chic! I agree about adding some red accessories - maybe a skinny red belt? Or even try popping a different color cami underneath?

Ooh, that's something that I actually didn't think of, HannahM! :-) I need to buy more camis anyway as I only have grey, black and green camis.

You look WONDERFUL! Love the shoes and you were made for short hair. I really like your easy, arty and youthful style. Keep it coming :-)

I think you look great as well. Love the shoes. That skirt shouldn't be an orphan - it looks great on you!

You look great! What a cute outfit! A pop of red would be nice indeed: necklace or scarf or cami or belt or watch...

Thanks Angie, Yublocka and Tanya.

You've given me so many ideas of red items to incorporate into this look, Tanya. A watch has been on my wishlist for a few months now but I haven't find one that fits my wrist, my budget or my style yet regardless of the colours I want- either grey, red or purple. Hmmm... I haven't even tried belts yet so I think I should buy a cheap one for experimentation and see how it looks with various outfits.
