Here are my outfits for the past week:

This was a really busy week at the lab, so I haven't really put that much thought into what I was wearing.

On Saturday I have experimented with grey plaid tights ( it was Halloween after all), and went for a monochromatic look. I would be curious to know if you think it works or it looks too juvenile.

I want that Benetton button down shirt! And the military jacket is KILLER. Remind me of the brand of your purple coat? It’s too delicious for words! (I’d love a citron wool coat if ever you find one). And the frock is fabulous! Love it over the shirt. Are those checked tights one colour? So cute. You look wonderful all week as ever!

Fabulous week, Tanya! All your pieces have such interesting details, and you have such a great shoe collection. Even if you just kind of throw things together, everything works and is still interesting! I'm working on getting to that point myself. I feel confident dressing "up" a little, but when it comes to being more casual, I sometimes feel that my outfit looks a little boring. I am taking notes!

I love your purple coat!

The tights are a little young, in my opinion, but that's probably because I cringe when I look back at pictures of myself in college wearing red plaid tights. Your sophisticated gray monotone look with the plaid tights is leaps and bounds better than my red tights!

The tights would definitely not be young-looking if worn with boots though.

Angie, the purple coat is Benetton an it is two years old. I will definitely let you know if I see a citron one somewhere. The checked tights are all in shades of grey; the base is medium grey and the extra lines are charcoal and dove.

Ana, i do not think I have ever sen an outfit of yours I would call boring. I think that you are doing a great job with all of your outfits.

Cricket, that is exactly what i have been wondering. If worn with boots the tights are fine, but with shoes I was wondering about the juvenile factor. I guess i will do that sparingly.

You look fantastic in that shade of purple! The purple tunic/dress over skinnies - my goodness, your legs are soooo endlessly long!

I think my favorite is the last one. Love the plaid tights. I don't think you look juvenile in them. It's a fun look for a weekend.

Tanya, great week. I certainly couldn't tell that you didn't have time to think about your outfits. I think my favorite is Wednesday - I love the combination of the tee, vest/jacket, and pin. And of course it looks great with the jeans and boots.

Tanya I went and looked at these pics twice through I lvoed them so much!! Love the combo of purple tunic and bown boots. And I really like your plaid hose with the grey dress. What always strikes me is your natural grace - even in casual clothes you manage to look elegant!!!
