Talk me out of this jacket!

I hit AT yesterday, to return some items. Of course, when I return, I often purchase items in the same amount, making it a wash. I tried on two jackets and purchased one.

Purchased this one:

... because I loved the tweed, and it's warm and cozy. I have long black leather gloves, which will make this jacket work into late fall. Looks great with black ponte knits; I also imagine it's going to look great over a black sheath or pencil skirt. And, I don't already own anything in this sort of tweed.

This one I put back, but it's calling my name... more like screaming my name. Talk me out of it:

Pros:
1. Fits REALLY well...
2. Highly flattering
3. Lapel is different
4. It's a shorter jacket, which as we all know, I like...
5. Material is to die for... very luxe feeling...
6. Yet comfortable, almost like wearing a sweater rather than a jacket

Cons:
1. I have SOOO many black jackets already... just how many black jackets can one have?

I love them both. I think you could do a lot with the 2nd one. Jeans, dresses, skirts, pants. I love the lenght of it.

I’m glad that you returned the black jacket, Shiny. Ahem...you are sorted in that department :0)

I have seen the retro tweed jacket and it’s KILLER. I shan’t be talking you out of it!

Can we see the retro tweed jacket on? That fabric looks AMAZING.

Looks like your dilemma with the black jacket is solved :)

OMG, I adore the tweed jacket - I was in AT this weekend and did not see it at all! Of course the collar would never work on me - I would love to see it on you though!

The black jacket is pretty and definitely a statement jacket of sorts - doesn't compete with your Paris jacket though!!

Love the way the tweed jacket can be dressed up as shown with the black skirt or dressed down as shown with the jeans. It's a great piece to have.
To get the black one maybe you could give up one or two from your closet? The collar looks like it could be overwhelming on you.

Shiny, listen to Angie - you are all set for black jackets!

The tweed one is amazing. Great choice.

I wore the jacket yesterday, but within an hour, I had to change. I actually went out of my way to drive back home and change, it was that bad. The fabric is horribly, dreadfully ITCHY. Was driving me nuts!!!

I don't really have sensitive skin either - I can wear a wool sweater without an underlayer. So this is a terrible disappointment. There is something synthetic - some scratchy metallic thread in the tweed - that I think is the culprit.

What's more, I took the tag off already!! I am still going to see if I can return it. I buy so much at that store, I'm hoping they will allow me to do that. I know I said just a week ago that on principle I won't return something I've already worn out of the house.... but I'm making an exception!
