I purchased this simple charcoal sweater dress - it's more of a tunic - and have enjoyed wearing it over knit skinny pants. Today I also decided to wear my boiled wool peacoat over it as inner/outer wear and to give it some interest. I pulled out my lace-up flats as well; they are hard to put on but I like the way they look once I'm wearing them.
