Summer favorites

Patience

Tanya brought up fall wish lists, so I'm going to start a summer favorites thread (for everyone but dedicated to those of us in the warmer climates.) What were your favorite go to items this summer? And here I want you to be as specific as possible, citing items that are in your wardrobe.

For me:

o clamdiggers
o blousie tops
o yellow wedge sandals - since I wear a lot of blue these go with just about everything in my closet; my favorite color combo right now is blue of any sort, white and yellow.
o gladiators - these haven't been my closet long but I love them

Dark denim walking shorts (got them at Costco, of all places!). They fit me perfectly and are a staple in my SAHM wardrobe.

Silver Liz Claiborne thong sandals. I adore them. Lucked out and got the only pair in my size at TJ Maxx!

Black gladiator sandals that I got at Target 2+ years ago

Black Leo and Sage top (Bluefly)

Black and white floral print AT Loft faux wrap top (wore this w/ above jeans and gladiator sandals; got many compliments)

Sweet Pea multi-colored print halter (Bluefly)

Black Old Navy clamdiggers

Those are the main components of this summer's SAHM wardrobe.

Here's my list:

o clamdiggers- both dark denim and white
o white straight leg jeans - J Brand 14"
o shirtdresses worn over pants above: turquoise, brown, military green,
o J Crew Frances blouse in cherry blossom
o Anthro cream Deletta knit top with ruching detail
o H&M sleeveless cowlneck top - got it in white, black and pink!
o silver Cole Haan Air mini wedges
o bunch of Me Too shoes: pewter Swann flats, bronze flats, giraffe wedges and hot pink patent wedges
o flat patent totes: cream, yellow and red

o nylon mesh style tops
o J Crew caterina top
o J Crew citron cardigan
o J Crew ink short sleeve sweater jacket
o denim, white and brown walk shorts

Looks like I should own stock in J Crew

This is going to read very much like my packing list for Paris:

*denim clamdiggers
*white H&M cowl neck
*the two AT shirts - both of them (raspberry and meadow green)
*metallic pearl gold cole haan ballet flats
*tan and gold strappy sandals
*blue & white BR skirt and khaki eyelet tahari skirt
*cropped cardigans in fuschia, turquoise, and lime green
* long pearl necklace (Lately!!)
*large pearl necklace that matches my cole haan flats
*floral ATL shirt
*green drop pendant
*dresses: most of them....
*sweet pea tops
*sleeveless skirt tops (black and green)

What I haven't been wearing as much as I thought would:

1) White jeans. Been too hot. But the weather has cooled down, so if I go out today I may wear them.

2) White clamdiggers. I do wear them pretty frequently; I just don't like them as much, for some reason, as the denim ones or skirts and dresses. Not sure why that is.

Great thread. Here are some of mine:

* Denim clamdiggers (J Crew Matchstick) and shorts (INC) - I live in these!
* White denim skirt
* Sleeveless mesh tunic tops (worn over the clamdiggers/shorts), including a blue and fuchsia Sweet Pea one and a yellow/black/white floral one from Style&Co
* H&M sleeveless cowl neck top, in black and coral
* red and white sleeveless v-neck top from H&M
* short sleeved black cardi from J Crew
* black v-neck sleeveless dress from ATL (bought last year)
* big yellow tote from H&M
* favorite shoes: yellow MIA flats, silver ones with floral cut-out pattern (Michael Kors) and green Enzo Angiolini flats; plus my yellow JC flip flops for casual wear at home and in the neighborhood

since I didn't follow my own instructions, I'll be a little more specific about the blouses, my favorites are exactly as Angie suggested -- AF linen tunic, AT floral halter, BR brown and cream print silk sleeveless blouse, and JCrew cross back silk tank.

*Sundress- I got so much wear out of my colourful A-line sundress so far this summer, I bought another yesterday!
*Knitted tops in jewel tones- mainly faux wraps and empire waists to maintain waist definition
*Flat thong sandals
*Cropped cardigan for when it gets chilly
*Yellow sling bag (two summers running!)

Nice thread. What would we do without clamdiggers!!

In fact many of you describe “the flop proof Mum on the go outfit” I posted today. I adapt that formula too. I should have mentioned that it works for everyone in a casual setting, but forgot. Please give it your thumbs up ON the post if you wear it too. It will help encourage others that there is method to my madness. (Thanks Tanya and Nafisa for already helping me out).

Okay! Here were go:

o All my soft woven blouses. They are silky, a little voluminous, sleeved and sleeveless. All colours, shapes and sizes. You’ll see me in a blouse everyday in warmer weather. I shan’t bore you with a detailed list!
o Both AF blouses
o Woven tunic shirt dresses in emerald green, olive and black
o Diesel straight leg jeans
o Zara clamdiggers in denim and white
o White skinnies
o Dark blue semi -pencil denim skirt
