steve madden boots

I found these boots and absolutely love the color and the distressed suede. I need something other than my Fryes which are not yet 10 hour shoes (and may not work at all) that I can wear at school. They need to be super casual and not very refined leather. (They will get scuffed). The style of these seems to be purposefully angled and large at the calf. Do they look ok?

The distressed leather and colour looks fab. I like the angled shape at the top but i'm unsure about the largeness at the calf, though i guess if that's the way they were designed to be then it's ok? x

Thanks Louise, I think they were designed this way because the widest part of the boot comes out at the knee. I know it is a bit of a funky look bit I would wear them with that in mind. I am curious to hear what Angie thinks and if she has come across boots in this style.

Yeah Jean, I'm also curious about Angie's opinion, I really like the winged look of the boot and the colour. If anyone can pull of a funky look it would be you.

That's tough. Do they fit in the calf area? Usually when that kind of gapping happens it means the boots are too high rather than too tight, but you are tall so I can't imagine you would have that problem, leaving me to believe that they were meant to look this way. If they are fitted in the calf area, that would further compound my suspicion that it is just the style of the boot, because it means someone whose knee area could fill out the boots would probably find them too tight in the calves.

What is the style name? I'm curious to read reviews of them on Zappos (if there are any) to see what others had to say.

Either way I kind of like them. They definitely have a funky look to them.

Love the colour but I don’t think the shape works. The silhouette is screaming for a very long leg. Sorry :0(

I really like those, and I do think the shape works. I've heard rumors that Steve Madden boots aren't all that comfortable, though. I've never bought a pair, though, so I can't speak from experience.
